The Pickwell Foundation supports charities in the UK that are working with displaced people and with those addressing the climate emergency. We work collaboratively with them, providing grants to support their essential work to protect people and planet.
We also work locally in Devon to provide support to refugees and asylum seekers through a number of schemes:
-Refugee resettlement through the Community Sponsorship Scheme
-Support for Ukrainians and their sponsors in North Devon and Torridge via the Homes for Ukraine Scheme
-Support to Afghan families relocating to North Devon under the ARAP scheme
-Support for sanctuary seekers dispersed to North Devon via home office accommodation, such as asylum hotels.
We also contribute to national policy and advocacy in partnership with other organisations in the sector,. This includes with the Home Office, through the Community Sponsorship Alliance (which is co-chaired by our co-founder, Susannah Baker MBE) and with the Department for Levelling Up (DLUHC) to shape the Homes for Ukraine.
You can also make donations to our Pickwell Foundation fund via our Just Giving Page, this will be used to support the schemes and our partners working in two main areas; those working to support displaced people and those working to tackle climate change.
